We will never return to this place.
The hotel is reasonably clean, but that’s about the only good thing.
From the moment we arrived, the reception staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. We had to ask about everything, check-in time, towels, dinner reservations, nothing was explained unless we specifically asked. (in a reaction they said, we tell every guest to scan de QR for all hotel information, but they did not do that. There only was a code to scan for a whatsapp number).
However, later in the week, some other staff members arrived, a young woman with red hair and a bald man with glasses, who were very kind and friendly. The woman at the other reception in building 4 was also very nice and helpful via WhatsApp.
The rooms look nice, but the beds are awful. They are like 2 wooden planks with small legs and a matrass on it, and the pillows are so flat they barely qualify as pillows. On top of that, my bed broke twice. Luckaly they came to fix it. The bed itself has only four small legs, making it very unstable (also the reason why it broke) and uncomfortable to sleep on.
The doors (mostly to the balcony) are really thin, so you hear everything from the neighboring rooms and people outside. On top of that, there were plenty of loud and inconsiderate guests shouting outside and in the hallway.
The noise from airplanes is noticeable throughout the day, which we didn’t mind too much, except for the early flights that woke us up. But if you like to sit on your balcony or leave the door open you better not, because it is really loud. But we were not in the hotel so much, so we don’t know how it is during the day.
Breakfast was okay, though sometimes cold or stale. The dinner was not good, so we ended up eating at the nice restaurants along the boulevard instead. Cold, always the same, really really dry meet.
There’s no cozy outdoor seating area, and the whole place feels plain and uninviting. No effort has been made to make it feel welcoming.
It’s clear this is an old, budget hotel. They’ve tried to update it, but it just doesn’t work. We definitely won’t be coming back.
Evening entertainment is oke sometimes, but despite it being low season, there’s barely any seating available. Many guests were frustrated by this.
The hotel’s app is unreliable, restaurant names and menus don’t match reality. Also, the Italian restaurant wasn’t easy to find, as there were no clear signs or mentioning on the map.
Snacks were cold, soggy, and had clearly been sitting out all day.
They also randomly decided to close the late breakfast and the one bar that actually had decent snacks. This was the only thing we were happy about, but after one day we closed it. So we went somewhere else for breakfast, so we could sleep longer sometimes. It is really irritating because this was one of the reasons why whe choose this hotel, for the nice late breakfast.
Nobody informed us about the shuttle bus, which would have been useful. This should have been mentioned at check-in.
The hotel’s taxi service is way overpriced compared to official taxis on the street. In fact, the one we booked through the hotel didn’t even seem like a legitimate taxi.
The women's restrooms were often dirty, and many toilet locks were broken.
In short, we rented a car and explored Tenerife ourselves to make the most of our vacation, anything was better than staying at this hotel all day. Thankfully, we found another hotel where we bought a day pass, and that was a much better experience.
